
Getting Started with PlanoNest Templates
A quick guide to browsing, buying, and using your first Excel or Notion template on PlanoNest — from checkout to a workflow you can rely on.
PlanoNest is built for people who live in spreadsheets and Notion pages — budgets, client lists, content calendars, habit trackers, and everything in between. If you are new here, this walkthrough shows how to go from browsing to a template you actually use every week.
1. Browse by category or format
Open Collections from the navigation bar. You can filter by:
- Category — Finance, Planning, Business, Marketing, and more
- Format — Excel templates or Notion templates
Each product page includes a cover preview, a short description, and what you receive after purchase (a download link or a Notion duplicate link).
Tip: Not sure where to start? Household budget and weekly planner templates are popular first purchases because they are easy to customize in under ten minutes.
2. Purchase and instant delivery
When you find a template that fits, add it to checkout and pay securely via Stripe. After payment:
- You receive a confirmation email with delivery details
- Signed-in users can also find purchases under Settings → My templates
- Excel files download immediately; Notion templates open via a duplicate link
No shipping, no waiting — everything is digital and ready to use right away.
3. Make the template yours
Every PlanoNest product is designed to be edited without breaking the layout. A sensible order of operations:

If a template includes protected cells or locked formulas, those areas are intentional — they keep totals and summaries accurate while you edit input rows.
4. When you need help

- Missing download — check spam for the purchase email, then open My templates while logged in with the same email you used at checkout
